SizingMini, Standard, or Jumbo: A Fridge Cling Sizing Guide
Choosing a fridge cling size comes down to two questions: how much information does your design need to carry, and how far away will someone typically be standing when they see it? Get those two answers right and the size choice becomes obvious.
Mini (business card size, 2×3.5 in)
The Mini is built for close-range viewing and simple messages — a logo, a name, a phone number or QR code. It’s the format to choose when volume matters more than surface area: handed out at events, tucked into bags, mailed as an insert. Because the print area is small, it’s also the most economical size in the lineup at scale.
Standard (3×3 in to 8×10 in)
The Standard is the default for most orders because it balances message capacity with cost. It has enough surface area for a full logo lockup, a short tagline, and contact details, or a single photo at a readable size — enough to say something real without needing poster-scale production.
Jumbo (18×24 in to 24×36 in)
The Jumbo is built for distance viewing — a storefront window, a cooler door, a booth panel — where the cling needs to read from across a room, not from arm’s length. Design at this size should stay simple: one bold logo or headline, high contrast, minimal small text, since a layout built for a business card will look sparse and unreadable blown up to poster scale.
| Size | Viewing distance | Best content | Typical surface |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mini (2×3.5 in) | Arm’s length | Logo + phone/QR | Fridge, wallet, bag insert |
| Standard (3×3–8×10 in) | A few feet | Logo + tagline + photo | Fridge, filing cabinet |
| Jumbo (18×24–24×36 in) | Across a room | Bold logo or headline only | Storefront, cooler door, booth |
Mixing sizes in one order
Many programs use more than one size — a Mini for wide distribution and a Jumbo for a single storefront or booth display, ordered together on one quote. Combined quantity across sizes counts toward your price tier, so mixing sizes doesn’t cost you the volume discount you’d get from a single-size order.
